Confidence in Motion: The Unity ProjectÂ
Meet the Founder
High school student-athlete Celesta Chunton founded Confidence in Motion with one goal in mind: to use the power of sports to promote inclusivity and confidence. Celesta realized that the love of sports is a universal language that can create and share positivity.
Meet Celesta
Growing up, I didn’t always feel like I belonged in the spaces I loved. As a competitive tennis player, I often felt out of place, not because of my ability, but because of how I looked. When I was younger, I was chubby, which made me stand out in a sport where most athletes I saw on television and competed against had very different body types. I rarely saw people who looked like me, and that made it easy to question if I truly belonged.
Â
Over time, things started to change. Through hard work and simply continuing to show up for myself, I became stronger, not just physically, but mentally. I learned that confidence isn’t something you’re born with, it’s something you build. Little by little, I started to believe in myself, both on and off the court.
Â
That experience is what led me to create Confidence in Motion. I wanted to build something that gives others the feeling I was searching for growing up: a place where everyone feels seen, included, and supported. Through sports, we’re not just building athletes, we’re building confident people who know their worth and carry that belief into every part of their lives.
